Bucket List Things: 12 AM Swimming on a Private Beach in Teotepeque

The sea, the ocean, extensive bodies of water, they’re breathtaking sites but terrifying. Though it may appear as if I’m continuously doing some water-related activity, the reality is, I’m incredibly dreadful of massive bodies of water. The fact that the majority of water is undiscovered, the strength of the current, and combine that with me being unable to swim? It’s a recipe for disaster. But, I’m that individual who attempts everything once. At least.

25 by 25: Attempting to Hit Travel Goals During My Second Quarantine Birthday

25 by 25. Such a nice ring to it. For as long as I can recall, I anticipated visiting 25 countries before 25 years old. The fact that I’m turning 25 later this month is absurd. I turned 24 in total lockdown, and it is ridiculous that a year has passed since. I don’t feel a day older than 23. I planned to surpass this goal in 2020. Everything was arranged, and I would’ve been closer to touring 30 countries by 25. However, that wasn’t God’s plan. I don’t understand the reasoning, but I will not question it.

Bucket List Things: Sharing My Must-See’s in the 50 States

When it comes to travel, I typically opt to go international. Although I live in the states, I’ve yet to explore much of it. Traveling around the United States is usually much more expensive, which deters me from doing so. Another reason? I love immersing myself in other cultures and attempting to get around in languages I’m unfamiliar with, which can’t be done here. I’m aware that each state offers something different, and the country is extremely culturally diverse. At least, that’s what I’ve heard. I anticipate seeing the differences in people, places, and regions myself. That being said, it’s a goal of mine to visit every U.S. state and territory. Although it isn’t too high on my travel priorities, my goal is to travel to every state within the next few years.

Reflecting on Last Year (2020): Best Travel Experience to Date

Is a month and a half into 2021 too late to reflect on the drag that 2020 had for me? No! 2020 was the very first year that I was unable to travel freely. Not being able to escape when my stress levels were too high or when in need of clarity took a heavy toll on my mental well-being. Thankfully, my best friend and I took a long and well-needed vacation before the world shut down.

Bucket List Things: Flamingo Beach on Renaissance Island

If you’re here, I’m assuming that you want to know if it’s worth it. Duh! Lots of tourists who visit the beautiful island of Aruba choose not to stay at Renaissance Hotel. For hotel guests, there is no additional fee to tour the private island. Outsiders require a day pass and the process of getting to Flamingo and Iguana Beaches is a bit more tedious.

Bucket List Things: Seabobbing in the Caribbean Sea

Big bucket list things! Starting the new year by crossing this off my bucket list was a dream. Okay, I didn’t tell the instructor this until we were far out into the sea but, I can’t swim. And life jackets aren’t a part of the experience. Potentially dangerous, yes, but I live for it. I’m also scared of going far out in large bodies of water, but I had to do this at least once. I couldn’t be happier that I did.
