If you’re here, I’m assuming that you want to know if it’s worth it. Duh! Lots of tourists who visit the beautiful island of Aruba choose not to stay at Renaissance Hotel. For hotel guests, there is no additional fee to tour the private island. Outsiders require a day pass and the process of getting to Flamingo and Iguana Beaches is a bit more tedious.

Flying Fishbone Review
Five stars aren’t even enough. In every travel vlog I’ve seen, I hear that Flying Fishbone is a must. I honestly thought it was overhyped and just an overall touristy place that locals wouldn’t even bother to step in. Boy, was I wrong! Before visiting the restaurant, I asked around to see what the locals had to say. Told that it’s just an expensive version of Zeerovers, we were reluctant to go. I’m thankful that we didn’t miss out as a result of this comment.

Big bucket list things! Starting the new year by crossing this off my bucket list was a dream. Okay, I didn’t tell the instructor this until we were far out into the sea but, I can’t swim. And life jackets aren’t a part of the experience. Potentially dangerous, yes, but I live for it. I’m also scared of going far out in large bodies of water, but I had to do this at least once. I couldn’t be happier that I did.

One word for this restaurant: Quirky. Different salt and pepper shakers cover the walls both in and outside. The atmosphere is light, and the location is convenient. Beyond that, it’s average at best. The portion size is above average for the price. However, the food itself was not. It actually could have used some salt and pepper.

The aloe museum, factory, and farm was a satisfactory experience. I’m not quite sure what I expected, but it wasn’t that. I’m a plant mom of many babies, so I looked forward to this. The idea of taking a peek into the factory that turns a plant into many cosmetic products was interesting to me. The tour wasn’t long, but I believed my experience would have been much better if the group was smaller. I learned many new things. Overall, I think it’s a nice place to stop. It’s free, so why not?

Renting a UTV for a day to go around the island was one of the most enjoyable things we did on this trip. We explored areas that we would not have been able to get to with our car. I thought 8/9 hours would be more than enough time to do everything, but it wasn’t. After checking in and picking the vehicle, the staff gave us a code for their app. Arubiana’s app included a map of destinations and told us about each site. It was also able to record the trip with detailed information such as our speed, location, distance, and time. I do wish that the map was a bit more interactive for the directionally challenged like myself.

One star only for the presentation of the food. The meal itself? Yuck. I wish we got our money back because ew. We should’ve stopped after the appetizer. At least we would’ve left the experience on a decent note. The location of the restaurant was beautiful. The fact that everything and when I say everything tasted like egg takes away from that. My fish was also very salty. We spent too much to have such terrible food. Never again.

10/10, easy. The food truck caught my attention our very first night in Noord. I never knew I needed Dutch mini pancakes. Pofferdories are the perfect dessert. I consumed too many to say with multiple different toppings during our stay. I couldn’t get enough.

I cannot rave ENOUGH about this restaurant. The best everyday food in all of Aruba, no one can change my mind. I seriously don’t have a single negative about Zeerovers. Not one.

I adored our condo during our stay in Aruba, despite one issue. The location was perfect as well as the value for the amount we paid for the five nights. The gardens around the condo were incredible. Although I did not get a chance to visit the gym or the pool, both were great amenities.
